Interior Painting Process

1. Assessment and Preparation:

   • Consultation: The process begins with a consultation between the homeowner or property owner. During this stage, the client discusses their preferences, color choices, and project goals with us. We will provide our input at this stage as well. 

   • Shortly after the consultation, the client will promptly receive a comprehensive estimate from us via text and/or email. This estimate will provide a clear outline of the proposed services along with the associated cost for the job. 

   • The customer decides whether to hire us or not for their project. If hired, we move to step 2.  

2. Color Selection and Sampling:

   • The next step is to select the paint colors and finishes. We will provide color swatches to help clients visualize the final result. Sampling the chosen colors on a small area can help make the final decision. Sometimes, the customer has already colors and finishes chosen out. 

3. Surface Preparation:

   • Proper preparation is essential for a successful paint job. This includes tasks such as:

     • Do all necessary and agreed upon wall and trim repair.

     • We look for all cracks, water damage and defects, repair, and do any re-texturing necessary.

     • Sanding rough surfaces to create a smooth canvas for paint.

     • Removing dust, dirt, and debris from the walls and ceilings.

     • Protecting furniture, floors, and fixtures with drop cloths or plastic sheets.

4. Priming:

   • In some cases, applying a primer is necessary to ensure proper paint adhesion and to cover any stains or imperfections. The type of primer used depends on the surface and the type of paint being applied.

5. Paint Application:

   • The actual painting process begins with the application of paint to the surfaces. At JC Pro painting, we use a variety of rollers and brushes to do this. Careful attention is given to cutting in (painting edges and corners) and creating clean, straight lines.

   • Typically, two coats of paint are applied to achieve full coverage and a uniform finish. It's essential to allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next.

6. Cleanup:

   • Once the painting is complete, our team removes protective coverings, cleans up the work area, and returns furniture and fixtures to their original positions.

7. Inspection and Touch-Up:

   • The project isn't complete until a thorough inspection is carried out. Any touch-up work, such as fixing missed spots or uneven coverage, is addressed at this stage.

8. Client Inspection and Approval:

   • The client is invited to inspect the work to ensure it meets their expectations and standards.

9. Final Walkthrough:

   • A final walkthrough is conducted with the client to address any concerns and ensure complete satisfaction.

10. Project Completion:

    • Once the client approves the work, the project is considered complete. Browse through images of of our interior painting work.
